Summer 2020 Opening

We’re delighted to be able to re-open from July 4th but we do so under new government guidelines to protect our lovely staff & customers.

– On the pumps now –

Oakham: Citra (4.2%)

Light gold in colour. Bursting with citrus and tropical hop flavours and deliciously refreshing. The original UK Citra.

Westerham: british Bulldog (4.1%)

A rich, full bodied best bitter in the traditional Kent style. … Hopped with local Kent Northdown and Finchcocks’ Whitbread Golding Variety and finished in the Hop Rocket with Progress hops from Scotney Castle and Goldings from Finchcocks hop garden for a full flavour and aroma.

Redemption: Trinity (3%)

An award-winning Light Ale brewed with three malts and three hops. Generous late hopping provides Seville orange aromas and the initial malt sweetness is dominated by citrus flavours which explode on the palate. Brewed with plenty of malt to provide decent body, so it has some backbone for a low ABV beer. There’s also a pronounced bitterness throughout.

Fyne Ales: Jarl (3.8%)

The epitome of a modern classic – an easy-drinking, beautifully balanced session ale bursting with flavour.

St Austell: Trelawny (3.8%)

This full-bodied, malty beer is a great partner to robust flavours. A delicate apricot aroma is followed by peach and toffee on the palate and a toasted bitter finish.

Salopian: Golden Thread (5%%)

A bright gold ale, using wheat, lager malt and flavoured with an infusion of aroma hops. Clean and crisp to the palate with a hint of sweetness and a long fruit-filled finish.

gadds: Seasider (4.3%)

A mellow, easy drinking ale brewed with a little crystal malt and a lot of Goldings hops. Nothing flash, just a very decent malty body and a balancing hop flavour.

– Resting in the cellar –

Nene Valley: Release the Chimps (4.4%)
An IPA for everyday drinking. A pale malt base gives a crisp mouthfeel that allows late addition and dry hops to come through with a punchy bitterness and a good deal of hop flavour in such a light beer.

Mad Squirrel: Resolution (4.2%)
Resolution is late hopped with three American hop varieties for maximum flavour. Light, refreshing and immensely drinkable

Ilkley: Joshua Jane (3.7)
Rich nut-brown colour and the soft caramel flavour is fused with our unique hop character.

Brewsmith: APA (5%)

HMedium bodied, refreshing APA with passion fruit and a touch of pine flavours.
Hops: Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, Amarillo.
Malts: Maris Otter, Wheat Malt, Caramalt, Crystal.

Kent Brewery: The Quiet American (4.2%)

A light and refreshing APA that is both floral and citrusy with a hint of grapefruit

Redemption: Hopspur (4.5%)

Amber Ale with some citrus fruit aromas, chewy biscuity malt flavours, slight sticky sweetness and grapefruit piney hop flavours. Well balanced with hop flavours to the fore and an easy bitter finish. SIBA Gold Medal winner

Kent Brewery: Cobnut (4.1%)
Generously hopped. Dark and nutty, with no nuts involved!

Adnams: Ghost Ship (4.5%)
Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts – Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.

Butcombe: Original (4%)

Created from Maris Otter malt and a secret blend of English hops. Meticulously crafted before ‘craft’ was even a thing. Its distinctive bitter, clean and refreshing flavour has been Bristol’s go-to for good times since the 1970’s.
